Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Safe Ceramic Cooktop [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Westinghouse Ceramic cooktop about a month ago to replace my induction cooktop for medical reasons. I had to have a pacemaker as I almost had a cardiac arrest 6 weeks ago. The high electro- magnetic field on my induction cooktop was not safe for me as my arms are short and keeping 60cm away to cook on an induction cooktop was going to be difficult. The cardiologist suggested a ceramic or gas cooking top. I love cooking and the ceramic cooktop has given me purpose to continue doing something I love. The digital controls are easy to use and I like the safety features that indicate when the plates are still hot to touch. It is an important and necessary feature as people age . I am 72 years young !!

The sleek, flat surface looks beautiful in the kitchen. The selection if burner sizes, including the triple size burner make it easy to find the correct size fir all our cooking pots and pans. A quick wipe once it us cooled keeps it looking nice. We purchased the suggested ceramic cleaner for those times it needs a polish which makes it look brand new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Elegant and Efficient We bought this to replace our old Westinghouse cooktop. Installation was quick and easy however we noticed the cut-out for our previous cooktop was larger which resulted in a small gap at the sides of the new cooktop. It would have been good if Westinghouse would have provided a good quality wider seal in the box to fix this issue. Apart from that the cooktop has proven to work very efficiently. I particularly like the touch controls the multi size hotplate features.

Element turns off after the timer goes off even though I may still want to use it. But also heats the pans and allows reasonable standard of cooking. I do wish I had paid more and got the induction cooker though as this takes a wee while to heat and cool.

We want everything to make our lives easier, comfortable and safe. Replacing the old gas cooktop with a ceramic cooktop has been fantastic. It cooks everything we eat, the controls are so easy to operate and it’s the easiest surface to keep clean. We love it thank you Westinghouse.

Cooktop is so easy to navigate for a senior lady who isn’t as technical as she used to be.
