Not as good as I hoped
I bought this on the 7 July, mainly because I had a specific hole in my stone bench top and did not want cut into it further. So far I am not sure what the rave about induction. I have always found moving the pot off the burner works well to reduce the temperature previously. I do not find it particularly quick even under the power setting. The back left burner is a pain in the neck to control either not starting or only under half power, no power mode, and then at other times it works like it is meant to. It is quite noisy not just the magnetic humm. It is incredibly fussy about the size pot used and the position of the pot. So all in all I feel I could have saved possible over half the price buying the standard electric ceramic cooktop.

Awesome technology

Very happy with this cooktop.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am coming from another brand of induction cooktop that cracked and I got a store credit through extended warranty and purchased this one to replace it. I was a little worried with some of the reviews I read but the specs looked great and Italian made I had to give it a try. I made the right choice, I don’t know if people didn’t read the manual or it was not installed properly but this cooktop is a cracker. Plenty of room to fit all my pans and everything just works as it should. It’s just as quick to boil water as my old one which was quick and easy to use. I am never going the use the 6th sense stuff as like most people I can set a temperature to boil, simmer etc so have not used it. My old one use to drive me mad turning itself off every time water splashed in it. Not this one, it’s been a dream. Anyway, coming from a previous quality well know brand of induction cooktop to this has been a huge step up in usability. In the temperature/keeping a steady temperature it’s great as well. And lastly it is quite, I do check sometimes that it’s on.

WASTE OF MONEY
Bought 3 weeks ago to replace 25 year old Brandt Induction. Biggest problem is it takes 4 times as long to boil kettle as the old cooktop. Brandt was 6500w, Whirlpool is 7200w on 32 amp fuse uses more power to heat up because it takes longer. Also control panel difficult to use as writing is too small and slide power button hard to control. Very disappointed. Don't buy not worth the money.
