New technology but overall a good dishwasherThe dishwasher was fitted by Miele and we were really pleased with the engineer who was very efficient. The model we chose gave us options on the Miele auto dos or our own dishwasher tablets. At first we found the machine slightly more technical than we were expecting but after a few “goes” we soon became more confident about different functions. We didn’t expect the door to open on a lever before the end of the drying cycle (which is normal) and were concerned about having to gently fully open the door to released this when all lights had gone out for the end of the programme. Soon we realised that this wasn’t going to break the lever and it automatically goes back into the dishwasher. I tend to use the auto dos or power wash cycles. The auto dos takes 3 hours but is very efficient re power etc and the power wash allows you to shorten the time cycle. I will endeavour to try other programmes but am still new to this technology. So far, all dishes and cutlery are beautifully clean. The machine prompts you to use salt and rinse aid which is helpful too. I was unsure about the power disk but have used it for nearly a month now and love it. Overall, if you are not a confident computer user, don’t be put off as we are “working it out” and would recommend it after having an previous 18 year old Miele dishwasher.
