can the external motor be mounted on an external wall rather than the roof?

Thanks for your question Wayne. This product is only designed to be mounted on a roof. The supplier advises wall mounting any motor increases noises levels, and this ducting requires 2 bends between the kitchen unit and outdoor unit, which is not negotiable. Trust this helps clarify! ^CO

New house. Range hood about 3m from external wall. We would like the motor to away from the rangehood as we want minimum noise. Is this a possibility?

Great question Mike! Yes, the blower should be mounted between 4-6m from the rangehood, with the blower in a roof location where output noise will be acceptable, taking into account your home noise transmission and window locations.
