Beyond exceptions. Silent, strong extraction.
Ascetically the cassette is minimal and sleek enough not to distract and blend with other kitchen appliances manufactures nicely.
Flexibility of install - Installed during second story addition to existing structure.
Created a bulkhead and used threaded rod and wingnuts in each corner to suspend facilitating adjustment for plaster install.
The sizing of the two smaller exhaust ducts facilitated passing through standard truss spaces.
Motor placement under second floor eve providing weather protection.
Custom flashing post install.

Silent and powerful extraction
I've been a builder and kitchen designer fo 30 years. In all that time, I've learned that the range hood is the most important kitchen appliance. It should remove smoke and odour from the house and collect airborne oil so it doesn't make the house dirty, smelly and greasy. When cooking, the water vapour emanating from the food carries cooking oil with it. without a proper range hood, that oil is deposited on household furnishings. Many of my clients said they didn't use their extractors because they were too noisy. Schweigen have come up with the perfect answer: beautiful interior range hoods with the option of powerful, well-designed and well-built external motors that are nearly silent. We have an open plan so, a few minutes before cooking starts, we turn on the extractor to start a proper convection flow. We can cook fish, garlic or any other strong smelling food and we cannot smell it in the house. Our Schweigen range hood is, by far, the best range hood we've ever had. It exceeded our expectations and that's a rare accomplishment these days.

Everyone that sees this comments on it’s beauty and just how effective it is at its job. They can’t believe it’s even running until they see they the cooking vapours get whisked away. We’ll always recommend Schweigan!

purchased quality product, but interferes with our LG air con .. Schweigen reps say that there is nothing that can be done .. wouldnt buy another one, or recommend one ..
