Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Range Hood for heavy cooking This was installed behind the cupboards, a nice little powerful machine that is good for our heavy Asian cooking. It's got a commercial-style vent so you can take it out and soak it in water and clean it properly, we have had it for a year now and has been running fine. One thing which is recommended as an attachment for this and makes the warranty 7 years is the Sirius recommended vent pipes which are too rigid and almost impossible to install.

Great question Barbara! New models operate between 45dBa(min) to 63dBa(max), depending on speed settings. Age, cleanliness, and maintenance can affect this so make sure the unit is well maintained. Trust this helps! ^CO
