Since 6 years with no issues
We had this unit running every day since 6 years and there has been no issues. It has more power than some other cheaper units and can crush any small bones with no problem. One of our rentals had the RobinHood unit which died after 2 years.

Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders within 2 days. Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and the size of your order. Furniture may take up to 8 weeks to deliver as most products are made specifically for your order. Some Customer Direct products are shipped from overseas and may take longer to arrive. Some goods may take longer to deliver if a product is currently not in stock. A staff member will contact you where this occurs.
Easy returns
If you feel your product has failed a Consumer Guarantee (as defined by New Zealand Consumer Law) then don't worry you can easily return it to your local Harvey Norman store. What does built-in air switch system mean? Do I still need an air switch/button to make it work? Thanks
Thankyou for your question. The Fisher & Paykel GD75IA1 food waste disposer comes with a built-in air switch system and includes the air switch button in the box. You can install the button on your benchtop to control the unit.
Alternatively, according to the installation manual, the disposer can also be wired to a standard wall switch if you prefer that setup.

Hi, Is this suitable for a home that uses a septic tank system?
Thanks for your question, John. While garbage disposals can be used with septic tanks, they grind food into small particles that can cause sludge build-up, clogs, and disrupt the natural bacterial balance needed for proper septic system function. We do not recommend pairing in this instance. ^CO

In regards to water consumption and electricity use, the unit runs a 240V motor and runs water pressure at 0.1 Mpa - 1 Mpa. The manufacturer has not listed a star rating for this item.
