Very good waste disposal unit
This was bought as a replacement for an old broken unit (different bran). Very happy with this unit. It is fast an extremely quiet. I did find it a bit bigger in size than our previous one but fits nicely under the sink.

Great unit, worth spending extra.
Incredibly quiet unit. It’s quite large under the sink but works well. There is a good range of buttons to choose from, at an additional cost, but great to have to work with the kitchen fittings.

Excellent Unit - Can't Fault It
There's a special place in my heart for a decent waste disposer - and this ticks all of the boxes! Our old Robinhood RWD12 (unknown age) suddenly stopped working when under minimal load. So it was a good excuse to get something better.
I did plenty of research. Everyone seems to say only get Insinkerator. I can vouch that the Robinhood unit we had was useless - I don't know if it was a 'good' one of that brand. My research pointed to getting either the Evolution 100 or Evolution 200. I decided the 100 was fine for us.
I wanted to be able to throw anything organic down it - banana skins and onion peel included. I'm happy to say that it can grind all of the above with ease! I also found out it can do chicken bones too - it munches them up no problem. It works quickly and has no problem grinding whatever we throw at it.
Installation in itself was reasonably straight forward. My main hurdles were that the old one's fittings were so seized I had to angle grind it off. I also had to drill a new hole for the waste pipe, which after lots of measuring I still got in the wrong place. I also had to pop down to Bunnings to get a new S bend because the plumbing in our 90's house is a bit odd. But none of that was the fault of the unit - the actual unit installation was easy and would probably take under an hour if you don't have the same problems I did.
Bottom line, having been using the Evolution 100 for a few weeks now, we're very happy with it. I wouldn't go for anything less, nor do I see the need to pay extra for the Evolution 200 (unless perhaps in a commercial setting). Oh, and it's surprisingly quiet - great for sleeping baby in the next room!
