Agitator extremely rough on clothes
I bought this washer after doing extensive research online. I particularly wanted a delicate setting for shirts. The website says, '... our gentle wash action a handwash equivalent for your delicates ...' The agitator is extremely rough – on all settings. (There must be something wrong with its action.) The technician said the washer is working as it is designed. The photos show sheets from Spotlight (brand new, and only washed once) with holes in them. I cannot use the machine. I cannot get my money back. I cannot get it fixed.

Redundant END feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been enjoying my machine but when it finishes its job, it only needs to beep once. It keeps beeping several times. If I had nothing else to do but the washing, this would be ok. However I often come back much later. Then, next time I go to use the machine and press the power button, ( which is hard to push and can take several tries ) it says END. Then I have to push it to end and again to start! Like I need to spend my time fighting with that button. I told a friend who also has a Westinghouse washing machine, and the same problem. Our conclusion was, "designed by a man!"

Very happy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my previous Simpson 5.5 for many years and, like me, it got old! I searched for a slightly bigger machine and it was suggested the Westinghouse 7 (Simpson no longer make them, apparently). It is perfect size for my small laundry, looks very modern and smart, is very quite, good feature is that it turns itself off (not explained at time of purchase), it cleans my washing well - so far very happy.
Although Choice magazine listed this as a "do not buy", so far, I cannot agree.
One thing that puzzles me is the sticker recommending the use of front loading washing powder.

Constantly Stops
I bought this 6months ago and I've tried sending it back. It constantly stops, its very picky, can't have too much or too little in the load. I spend most of my time babysitting it so I can restart it again, instead of coming back to a half done soggy cycle. I've had the Westinghouse repair people over twice and they've said there's nothing wrong with it. So because its "not faulty" I can't take it back. Even though I dread having to do washing everytime.

I Hate This Washing Machine
I purchased this machine about 1 year ago. I hate it!! The worst machine I have ever used. I had a old simpson which was a reliable and hard working machine but this new machine just does not come anywhere near the old machine. Some designer has decided that preprograming the machine to give a variety of set programmes was a good idea...NO, NO, NO!!! This is not what a good hard- working machine should do. The machine does not allow you to choose how long you want the wash to last and don't get me started on the off balance!! i
have spent soooo many hours going back to the machine and rearranging the load. I've talked to the technician....he said there was nothing he could do, the machine works fine. All I can do now to warn other people.......DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE.

Poor machine
I bought it less than 2 months ago, it vibrates crazy and then bang error and stops working. The store advised they can’t do anything and Westinghouse technicians should inspect the machine under the warranty. Disappointing product, as when customers buy a brand new product from a well known manufacturer they expect peace of mind and value for money.

Stops working in the middle of the cycle
The washing machine is doing very well. Only a small issue that sometimes it stops working because the clothes load is unbalanced inside the washing machine so I need to open the lid and distribute the load. So it might need to be looked at as an improvement for the next generation. But I am patient enough to distribute the load every time this happens. For many washing loads people might not be this patient.
