Rated 3 out of 5 by Monaleen from Easy to use but expensive to change every 6 months Easy to replace, no dramas. But the reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I wish there was a way to know for sure how much longer we can use the filter - I mean by default our fridge just gives us a reminder every 6 months to change the filter. But when I spoke to someone at Harvey Norman, they said it really doesn't need to be replaced that often, unless you have very hard water. But how do you really know when to properly change it, you know? I definitely didn't change it until after 18 months, and even then there was no funny taste or whatever. I mean it is expensive to change every six months - or even every year! But maybe this should be a review for the fridge and not the filter? Or maybe both needs something conclusive that can tell you that the filter needs to be changed (colour, marking, whatever visual indication)?

Thanks for your question Sarah. This is specially made and will only be compatible with Westinghouse or Electrolux fridge/freezer units. We recommend contacting your closest local store for compatible options for LG, or discuss with LG NZ directly.
