Sturdy and reliable bedBeautiful sturdy bed. Good quality of wood. The slats have natural holes in them which do not affect the aesthetics of the bed. Had some minor trouble with setting up the bed as the mechanism of clicking in the side rails were a little too tight. After getting some help from John (Harvey Norman Senior Salesperson) who offered very good advice, we were able to put the bed together.

Bed squeaks getting in/out of bedI bought this November 2023 had it delivered and assembeled. It looks pretty and was fine when i was using it as I’m quite tiny. But now that my sister and mum are visiting, they are using the bed and it started squeaking a lot and they are quite small like me. Whenever they move or they are getting up or gettin in or out of bed it squeaks!

What height can fit under the bed? We have a trundler and mattress to go under the bed and need to check the height. Do you have any of these beds in stock?

How sturdy is the locking mechanism on the wheels please?

Hi Michelle. This trundler bed does not come with wheel locks. The trundler can not be raised, but stays low to the floor and can be rolled under an existing bed when not in use. Hope this helps

What mattress goes with this bed?

Hi Jenny. Thanks for your question. Any New Zealand made standard single mattress will fit on this trundler. The only consideration is the height of the mattress and the space you have under the bed you want to put this trundler under. The height of the trundler without a mattress is 85mm. Re Tillsdale single bed we require a bed that can easily be assembled for guests and then unassembled and stored under a second bed. How easy is it to assemble on the basis of say 6 times a year. Also advise the height of the bed rail above the floor

Hi John. Thanks for your question. You can assembly and dismantle the Tilsdale bed frame, but as the bed is not designed for repeated assembly the bolts may become lose over time. If you are after a bed that can be stored I would recommend the trundler beds you can view on our website, They can be put together to make a king sized bed if needed or a single and king single bed. The single bed slides underneath the king single bed. You can attach a headboard. If you like the Tillsdale style you can purchase a king single headboard. Hope this helps with your query.
