Bought this a few weeks ago, great for fitness tracking and teams up with Strava great, the only complaints I have, at times when im working we carry some of our tools with us in two hands so it won't pick up my steps unless im swinging my arms like a normal walk which for the day drastically reduces my step count on the watch,,,, and the tracking of food is very easy BUT it would be nice to have a tab on the garmin ap that shows calorie intake comparing to burnt calories to make it easy to see surplus or deficit, other than those couple things I would highly recommend and buy again! Great watch very rugged and easy to use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best watch for mountain biking This watch is better in every way than the Instinct or Instinct 2. Once it's set up, which does take some effort, with one press on the controls, I can easily connect it to feed my pulse to my Edge 830 for biking, track my indoor biking when the weather is inclement and monitor my weight work. I was confused a bit about the weight settings as I use a rapid sequence on various machines and weights; when I contacted Garmin, a rep responded with a workable solution in a day or two. Good support. What I most like is how readable the watch is in full sun or under a dark canapy; it is always easy to see.

I got tired of having to charge my apple watch every day so I saw a Garmin watch and saw some pretty good reviews, a bit spendy but you get what you pay for so chose the Instinct 3 Amoled, I liked the smaller sized one, oh my gosh what a sweet watch! I charge it every 16 days or so, it can do more than I need but that's ok. Takes a little to figure it all out but it is getting easier. Watch face is so clear and easy to read even in direct sunlight and very customizable. It even has a flashlight which I thought I would never use but seriously use it daily, super handy. I do recommend this watch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp Display Clear sharp display, easy to read. I used the Garmin Connect app to choose a watch face with hour, minute, and second hands. I also went with the red, green and white display colors, making it even easier to read. The battery life is excellent, about two weeks, and the battery life indicator is accurate. My last watch would indicate nine days of battery life, but only go five. I use mine at work in the medical field. With some watches, when you wash your hands, it’s hard to get the watch clean and dry without removing it from your wrist. Not a problem with this one. I also use it to record my hikes. The hikes are fun to look at on the Connect app. I’m glad I chose this model. After two weeks of ownership I can see no downside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight, fantastic This is my 3rd Garmin watch, the first I was a bit overzealous and it was too big and too heavy for my wrist, so the husband got it and has been wearing it the last 10yrs. 2nd watch was a FENIX 6, loved it, nice weight, went well with everything, even dressed up. Love the INSTINCT, MUCH lighter, could have gone bigger than the 45mm, but so many more options. I cannot live without a watch both for work and personal. Would highly recommend and will always have a GARMIN. Husband got a new INSTINCT 3 as well as he hunts upland birds with his dog and he LOVES the dog tracking ability.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for me I have been using fitbits for the past ten years but needed a new smartwatch and Google has stopped making new fitbits for iphones. I don't want an apple watch due to low battery life. I really mainly used the fitbit for steps, calories, heartrate and a sleep score. I bought the Garmin recognizing that it was overkill for this use but was disappointed to learn that the app is much more geared to hardcore adventuring and doesn't handle the basics as well as a fitbit. Currently it is sitting in the drawer. Any chance I could get a refund (even partial)? I threw away the box

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many features and stats! I have had this watch for about 3 weeks now and can't stop checking my stats! It tracks so many stats for you to check out. Steps, heart rate, body battery, sleep, calories, stress, weather, HRV status, brpm, and many more! This is exactly the kind of watch I wanted. I purchased it right before a trip to the Rocky Mountain National Park and wanted it to track my hikes and a couple of other stats and it has blown me away with all the features. I used to have an apple watch and this Garmin watch does all the apple watch does and so much more! Never going back to apple!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best watch I've owned I've had this watch for approximately 4 weeks. I replaced an Apple Watch gen 3, and man what an upgrade. After first charging I had 18 days of battery, that will be very helpful in the mountains come September. This watch is extremely customizable. I guarantee there's functions hidden on here I still don't know about. After serving charging it showed only 16 days battery, so I will be keeping track of that, but even at 16 days, I can't complain. I was charging my Apple Watch every night, and paying it made it through my shift every night (some nights it didn't).
