Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenix 5 upgrade After 6 years using my Fenix 5x which still works perfectly, I decided to upgrade only for a more readable, brighter display. After a lot of research I went with a competitor’s watch (trusting the hype to be honest) based on reviews and price. It didn’t take long to realize that my trust was misplaced. I came back to Garmin as fast as I could and settled on the Instinct 3 50mm solar. The smartwatch is perfect for this almost 70 year old. I know and trust the watch and app and after almost a month without charging, I am still at 39% battery. I use only a fraction of its capabilities but it’s still perfect for me. I am now a Garmin user for life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solar power charging I bought this Garmin Instinct 3 solar power charging it's been great now I see my step count and heart rate this watch well made and the battery will last 40 days before charging again I fully charged it on July 1 2025 to see how long it will really last I went to the coast and my watch said 29 days before charging again well I got plenty of sun in one day that the charge when back up to 31 days till charging and I also do welding and i forgot to cover my watch that 3 ark sparks hit the lens and burn in to it but never Crack the screen like it did my phone and it still works on solar charging im glad I bought this watch it's worth the money and right now my watch says 27 days till I have to charge it again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instinct 2 now an instinct 3 I had an instinct two that still works and was absolutely bulletproof for 5 years. My instinct 2 went through junkyarding wrenching on cars being dropped all kinds of stuff and the thing was great. I have a feeling that this instinct 3 will be of the same quality. Garmin genuinely builds a quality product. Very pleased. I decided to purchase the instinct 3 solar due to the ability to monitor my blood glucose with apps available on the store. So far very impressed with the watch build quality is good. The flashlight's kind of cool helps at night and solid product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Changer This watch not only does what watches are supposed to do, but it educated and motivates as well. I have probably learned more about my physical health while learning how to navigate and operate my new Garmin Instinct 3 than any other time in my life. I like being able to see the numbers and then be able to see what they mean, how they are calculated, and why they matter. Couple the information with workout plans, coaching plans, and connections and you have a one stop shop for better health and motivation. Don't think I will ever own another brand watch.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sucks I bought this watch for running ultras. I need the extra battery life to be sure to make it through the entire event. When I ran my first ultra, I noticed the watch kept cycling off and on and it caused me to lose over 30 minutes and over 3 miles worth the distance. It came very close to costing me a DNF for the race. I was on the Support with Garmin and restarted the Watch downloaded different files the whole shebang and it’s still doing it so guess what I’m sending it back. I need a GPS watch that’s reliable and if it can’t be reliable as a dealbreaker

I have been walking with the watch exposed on my wrist and after a few weeks of usage it still shows 94% battery life due to the solar charging. I haven't tried a lot of the other features yet, but am satisfied with the solar part.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good watch but needs some work I like Garmin watches. Have several. My issue with this one is the compass. It doesn't work well. I have other watches with a compass, gps etc... All work well, except for my Instinct. It's just off... I mean WAY off, like 45-90 degrees off. No matter how many times I calibrate it, it doesn't hold. I worked with Garmin to try and resolve. Tried every suggestion they made. Still doesn't work and we're out of options. All the other functions work well, it's just the compass, which is important to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instinct 3 Solar I had the Fenix 6 Pro for a long time, but decided I wanted something solar. I was interested in the Fenix 8 but the price was just too much so I went with the Instinct 3 Solar. This watch does absolutely everything I need it to and it’s very lightweight. I work outside so the solar keeps it charged pretty well and sometimes I don’t have to charge it for three weeks or longer. For the price I think this is one of the Best buys I’ve ever made when it comes to Garmon products
