Diminished support for Lefties.
Garmin lost me. I needed to replace an aging Vivoactive 4 and ordered the Venu 4 45mm. I was excited when I finally came, but then super disappointed that they removed the ability to flip the orientation for left handed people wearing the watch on their right wrist. Options include "get used to wearing it on your left wrist" where it will get banged up or wear it on the right wrist and have to awkwardly reach across to the far side to reach the buttons. Why they removed the feature I don't know, but they are driving me to a competitor who does support left handed people better. What a shame because I really like the features and Garmin's reliability.

mostly perfect upgrade from venu 2
This is my 5th Garmin, moving from Vivoactive HR, Vivoactive 3 & 4 and the Venu 2.
The Venu 4 has the best display, better battery life and the most new features. The flashlight is very handy. The morning and evening report are great for personal accountability. The new timer app is a huge improvement, it saves common timers.
Three things I miss:
1. The find my car app. I used this fairly often when parking in large parking lots
2. The swipe to Garmin pay. Having to enable pay via the buttons makes it less useful than my phone
3. Setting alarms from my phone app. You have to set alarms via the watch.

battery life
I bought this about like 3 months ago I use it for working out going out for runs biking but I've had a Garmin 4Runner 165 and that would last me about 14 days to like 10 days this one's lasting me anywhere from 5 days to 6 days at the most and it says it's supposed to last about 2 weeks as well so I don't like that I have to be charging it there sometimes where I have to charge it every 3 days 4 days aside from that I like all the features including the flashlight it is a better upgrade and it's good for my running but just don't like that it dies super quick that's the only issue I have with it

Excellent Choice of watch
The Garmin Venu 4 elevates the lifestyle-meets-performance category by introducing a premium full metal case and a built-in LED flashlight, successfully bridging the gap between a daily smartwatch and a rugged adventurer. It features significant technical upgrades, including multi-band GPS for superior accuracy and advanced performance metrics like Training Readiness, proving to be an excellent, high-value choice for your needs. With up to 12–14 days of battery life and a stunning 2,000-nit AMOLED display, it is a truly impressive piece of tech that earns its status as a favorite daily wearable.

Venu 4 amoled
I love this watch. I have had two Galaxy watches and they don't compare to this. I am still learning all the features. Just having a battery that lasts so long is a plus.

Love this watch, but………..
I love thi swatch and all the features and statistics it has to offer. The only problem is, and I know Garmin is aware and are working on a solution, is that there is a problem with the watch freezing up, periodically shutting off on its own and music just stopping mid workout. I did send my first Venu4 watch back and it was exchanged for a new one and the new one seems to be working just fine, but it is not the same story foe my husband who is still having these issues with his new one. I do recommend this watch, but I might hold back on purchasing until they get all the issues fixed.

So Glad I Upgraded!!!
I had been using the venue sq for about 3 years and loved it but decided it was time for an upgrade... I love the Venu 4 even better (I have the smaller version). So many new features and tracking. I love that I can easily track all my horseback riding activity as well as all the great metrics for my runs (now I need to learn about them!) and more in-depth look at my body battery and sleep history. It is already really helping me improve my fitness and sleep
habits.
I was worried it was going to be too large looking on my wrist, but it really is just about your average fitness watch, I do wish it was a little smaller, but then I might not be able to read it as well with my lovely aging eyesight.

VERY nice feature set and look
I got this watch about a month ago (alongside a Galaxy Z-Fold 7) as a replacement for my Apple Watch Ultra 2. I prefer a round watch and one that is ecosystem independent was my top goal. The watch is very nice looking and has some great features for health tracking and overall lifestyle touches. There are a few spots where a fully integrated smartwatch is superior (focus modes, alarms, tighter access to the digital assistant) but those are nice on paper (at least for me) and what I get with the Venue and it 9 day + battery longevity are more than enough for me. Grabbed a couple of nicer bands for dressing it up, and applying and armorsuit protector to keep the Gorilla glass scratch free and couldn't be happier.
