Very Poor GPS Connectivity
Service at Harvey Norman was good. However the watch itself is not if you want easy and reliable gps connectivity. Bought this for my daughter to go on runs with me and in a 5k run the distance covered was 1.2K less than my Garmin. Going to sell this and look to get second hand Garmin instead. I got this on sale and it is still not worth the price.

Ok watch but poor health and fitness tracker
The Ryze Trek has some good features like phone calls from the watch, volume control, and an inbuilt torch. It's quite sturdy and looks good. Overall though, the functionality is not great. I noticed it was barely registering my steps so I wore my old Fitbit as well as a comparison - the Trek consistently only registered about 60% of the steps i.e. yesterday Fitbit registered 17800 steps, Rize 10800 steps.
The heart rate takes ages to register - in the week I've owned it, the watch has never shown my resting heart rate. I have to manually press for updates on my stats and half the time it says my watch is in the wrong position so doesn't update. The app is hard to navigate, barely has any features, and doesn't register all of my stats. It also keeps asking me to restore connection with my phone even when I'm holding it.
For me, it doesn't perform the health and fitness functions I require so I'll be wearing my old Fitbit until I can save up again for a new one. I'm aware Ryze is a new brand so will wait a few years for it to iron out these links before buying one again.
