Rated 1 out of 5 by from Another Garmin Faulty Item I will start by stating that I am currently watching the heartrate feedback data continue to go up and down with my heartrate.... with one huge cause of concern... I'm not wearing it or my watch!!!! IF this doesn't tell you all you need to know. Garmin knows their heartrate monitors/sensors are defective and yet keep selling them. They gave me the band to make up for their faulty watch and neither work properly. DO NOT BUY A GARMIN PRODUCT FOR HEARTRATE FEATURES. If it does work (who knows) it displays the rate far below what the true heart rate is. This can be DEADLY if you need to maintain a certain level due to health. BE WARNED, POSSIBLE RESULT OF DEATH!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Set up easy So far this heart rate strap has been really consistent and after about 20 uses no smell whatsoever. I just rinse it out. Let it hang dry and it’s happy. So far the heart rate and variability has been consistent across both my Garmin and Apple Watch and its connection has been really solid with my cycling computer, a Garmin 840 solar. If you just need to add heart rate to your fitness conversation this is a good option. If you’re looking for the additional running metrics, this is not the model you want. Something that pairs up with a 970 and similar models for all the writing dynamics is the next step up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HRM 200 pairing with Venu watch - Good Luck! The hrm200 was ridiculously difficult to pair with the venu 2s watch. Took me an hour, much advice from AI, and only paired after I tried again after an hour long bike ride. If I had to do it again, frankly, I wouldn’t. You should not sell products that don’t work well together. Really ruins the Garmin reputation. If you think this is an isolated incident, you should do even just even a little social media research. PS Still anxiously awaiting my watch to work with Google Maps on iOS too….another major disappointment. I would love to to use the watch for walking turn by turn directions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy HR monitor I needed a new HR monitor. Going with Garmin seemed the way to go as my experience with Garmin has always been good. Here are the positives. First, it pairs easily with my Garmin Fenix 7 watch and my Elite HRV app. I am 6' and 180lbs. The M-XL fits fine with plenty of adjustment and is as comfortable as expected. It seems like the battery life is good based on the specs. And, it seems to function flawlessly. My only negative is when using with my Elite HRV app is most days the app says the signal quality is poor. (to be fair It isn't on their list of suggested HR monitors), but makes me wonder if there are any signal issues with my watch I'm just not aware of. All in all it seems to be a solid product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 'Works' but not perfect Yes, it detects and broadcasts my HR, and it was easy to pair with my Vivoactive 6 and iphone. But it simply can't keep up with a rapidly increasing HR, such as at the start of a high intensity interval during a HIIT session. Instead, it loses track of the HR and simply broadcasts junk data, often for a couple of minutes before finally recovering. The only way to avoid the issue is to increase my working intensity significantly less rapidly than desired. Disappointing to say the least. I'll continue to use it for now I suppose, but it does not fully satisfy my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes your investment in a Garmin watch a complete package. Neither my Instinct Solar 2 or my Forerunner 570 with the newest HR sensors are very accurate. Both watches have absolutely wonderful features- but much of the underlying analysis they provide require accurate HR readings- especially when exercising. And the watches just don't have the ability to get accurate HR measurements on the wrist. That's not a shot at the products-- it's just a limiting factor of watch based HR data. The HRM600 resolves that completely. It's comfortable, super-simple to use and seems much more accurate. Now only if I can figure out a way to safely warm up the sensors in the morning when wetting them as required before going skiing. It's like an ice bath on my chest for the first 15 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to connect, comfortable to wear I received my Garmin HRM 200 as a Christmas gift. Recently, I bought the Garmin Edge 1050 as my bike computer. I also use my Apple Watch and iPhone to track my fitness. Tried using an App to send my heart rate to the Edge from the watch. It sort of worked but required disconnecting the iPhone. The HRM 200 was the best solution. It connects to the Edge easily and gives an accurate reading of my heart rate. It feels comfortable to wear and doesn’t lose contact or stop reading. I would recommend it if you are serious about tracking your fitness with your Garmin

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pairing Issues I had problems pairing this device to my Garmin 945 smart watch, right out of the box. Finally got it paired and it worked for one day. Second day, I tried to use the HRM for my bike ride and it would not pair with the 945. Tried all the HRM 200 and Garmin 945 manual steps, garmin support site, internet searches and nothing helped. Very disappointed in Garmin for not ensuring there are bulletproof connections between its devices (like apple)! Garmin used to be a solid brand but their quality is slipping. I will return this item and shop other brands.
