Spectacular!
I bought the Bravia 8 mk ii as a replacement for my 11 year old Sony 4K TV and boy it feels like the blinders are off my eyes! The colours really pop and are so vibrant. I recently watched Planet Of the Kingdom of Apes and the fire scenes in a dark cave just highlights how well blacks are rendered on this TV. The other thing that made my jaw drop was playing my PS5 on this. The picture quality and the 120 Hz refresh just made they experience go the next level. Minor point is when in Input mode (HDMI) if no signal is coming through it doesn’t go into screensaver mode which is strange. I need to continue investigating on this.
It has been worth the wait for the king of Oled!

The Sony Bravia 8 Mark 2 OLED is an awesome-looking TV. The picture quality is seriously impressive — deep blacks, super vibrant colors, and great contrast all around. Whether you're watching movies, sports, or just streaming shows, everything looks crisp and natural. Sony’s processing does a great job cleaning up lower-quality content too, which is nice if you’re not always watching in 4K.
The Google TV interface is fast and still easily the best smart TV system that is around.
One small gripe: for how much this TV costs, Sony really should include both the standard and premium backlit remotes. It’s a high-end product, and including both would just make the overall experience feel more complete.

Very Smart TV
I decided to replace my original Sony TV which was so good.I knew I could only get best and researched and found the A95L was renowned. Unfortunately it had run out in Australia so I just waited and then out came the Bravia 8 mk 2. It's replacement. I was very happy with it and used it a centre speaker as well. However I then became aware of the Bravia Cam and decided to fit one.
Hallelujah my TV was transformed both in picture and sound to the most magnificent TV. I recommend the Sony Bravia 8 mk 2 alone but you will not be sorry if you add the camera.

King of Oled!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to replace my 2013 4K TV that didn't have HDR and wow was I impressed! Bravia 8 II blew my mind with its spectacular clarity, brightness and colour range. Everything on the TV just pops and navigating the UI is buttery smooth and snappy. I watch a lot of streaming as well as live content and I have had no issues for the past 3 months that I have had the TV. My only minor gripe is that it only has two 4K 120Hz Hdmi ports and one is taken up by my sound bar. That was solved easily as I already had a Hdmi switch which is plugged to the Bravia so can connect all my devices to the switch. I am extremely happy with this purchase and Sony has gone above and beyond on my expectations.

Worst Experienc
I ordered the Sony Bravia 8 MK2 on 29th May 2025, excited to experience what should have been a premium TV from a trusted brand. The unit shipped on 6th June, and delivery was scheduled for 13th June through Sony’s chosen courier, ANC.
That’s where everything fell apart.
On the delivery day, ANC cancelled the delivery without any notice. When I contacted Sony Australia’s support, they casually admitted they had no idea why. I followed up the next day — again, no update. Frustrated by the complete lack of communication and responsibility, I cancelled the order on 18th June.
Since then, I’ve been calling Sony every day for a refund. Their excuse? “The item hasn’t reached the warehouse.” It’s been more than 10 days, and they’ve provided no answers, no refund, and no accountability — even after escalation.
As a Sony customer for over 25 years, I’ve never had such a disappointing experience. I once had an issue in India that was resolved swiftly and with true professionalism. This, by contrast, has been a stressful, frustrating, and deeply disappointing ordeal.
The TV may be great — I’ll never know. But the customer service has made me seriously question whether I’ll ever purchase a Sony product again. If you’re expecting smooth delivery and after-sales service, think twice.

Best Decision
Came down to Sony v LG. Both looked great in the showroom. LG has the brighter screen according to reviews and specs. My reality is the picture quality is unbelievably good and pips the LG noticeably. Plenty bright enough for our use especially once you find a good youtube guide and tune the TV picture for the individual picture modes. Very easy to do. The remote / operating system is the best and most intuitive out of the big three. Normal price is exccy, got ours on sale, but it is the best of the best !
