Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome dryer Used the dryer for the first time today after yesterday's delivery. I did so much research in trying to find the right heat pump dryer for me. What I noticed is that there were complaints from people's experiences from high end to budget friendly dryers like the Haier. I have just put in 5 kg (recommended max load) of wet towels, washed from a top loader. I was expecting a long drying time. However, after two hours the load was finished and all the towels perfectly warm and dry. My towels are on lighter side. It's pretty quiet for a dryer too. I have never had a heat pump dryer before. I hope this great experience continues, because the dryer is awesome.

Moisture discharges straight into the laundry tub and it uses a fraction of the electricity of the vented dryer it replaced. Style wise, a perfect match for my Haier front load washing machine.

I am really interested in this dryer but it will not be positioned near a tub for a water outlet. Could the hose be placed in a bucket to catch the water during a drying cycle. Thanks.

Thankyou for your question Lily. This dryer includes a built-in water tank that collects moisture during drying, which you can empty manually. You can use the included hose to drain into a bucket instead. Just make sure the bucket is large enough, placed lower than the hose outlet, and that the hose end stays above the water level to prevent backflow.

Does this need to be plumbed in or is there somewhere it collects water that would need to be emptied regularly?

Thank you for your question. The Haier 7kg Heat Pump Condenser Dryer has a built-in water tank that collects moisture and needs to be emptied manually on a regular basis. For added convenience, it also includes an optional drainage hose that can be connected at the back of the machine to allow continuous draining into a nearby outlet

Great question Geraldine! It depends where the standpipe is located. If situated on the opposite side to the drain hose on the unit, the max hose length is 1.6m. If on the same side, the max hose length is 2.2m. A hose extended is included with the unit if required. Trust this helps! ^CO

Hi there, if you have a washing machine in the garage, you can use the same drain to empty the condenser unit which accumulates water during the drying cycle. This particular model does need to be drained, so you will need to have access to a drain if there is no tub to empty into. We trust this helps with your query
