The best decision I have ever made. Fridge works like a charm. But the washing machine is an absolute dream. Before I bought the washing machine I was hand washing clothes for years, it was exhausting. Now that I have this front loader washing machine everything is so much easier. The first time I used the washing machine I actually cried, after doing it so hard for so long, it was very overwhelming and emotional, it's was so easy to use, press of a button, and it does all the hard work for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrated I am really frustrated with this machine. I put all my clothes in the dryer as I live in an apartment and therefore the spin needs to actually work. I have just washed 1 towel, 1 hand towel and a few pairs of underwear and socks with 3 different cycles and it will not spin enough to be light enough for the dryer, it’s literally completely wet after its spins. I don’t think I am doing anything wrong, and it has no ‘just spin’ cycle to be able to actually just respin it. I regret this purchase. I’ve given it a year but it’s not quite right for me without an option to re-spin when it decides not to spin enough - which is 9/10 washes.

The front controls are very user friendly, you can see exactly what cycle you have chosen by just turning the dial. Adjusting the temp & speed is also very easy. It has an option to add last minute items which is useful, but I haven't had to use this yet. We like the wider front opening & a good size drum, it's just the 2 of us, but it's plenty big enough. It's quiet & does a great wash & is good to hear a gentle chime when finished. It's not made in Australia, unlike our Westinghouse oven, but it's made in Thailand which is fine. Overall, extremely happy thank you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this washer about six weeks ago and have since completed about 35/40 wash loads utilising about 80% of the machines programs and functions, the overall results so far have been good (8/10). As I am speaking as a 77yo with arthritis and mild physical disabilities I do find it difficult to bend down to remove the pump filter for cleaning and draining, if this appliance came with an optional base of 200/250mm height this would greatly improve the frequently required cleaning/maintenance experience for people with physical difficulties such as myself.

One was to replace my home washing machine and the other was to upgrade to a larger size in an Airbnb property. I selected the Westinghouse easy Care 8 kg washer as I was impressed with the large door opening and ease of functions. I required the machine to wash queen size doonas with ease and I’m happy to say it certainly does that. The 39 minute cycle is brilliant combined with the 1200 spin achieves the perfect crease free laundered result. I’m extremely happy with my laundry purchases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality, Quick and Quiet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Prior to buying the 8kg EasyCare 500 Washer 3 months ago, my previous washer screamed so loudly during a spin cycle. Now the world is good again because this washer is super-duper quiet. I love being able to throw a load into the washer before I go to bed and setting the timer so that it conveniently finishes washing the load at the time I get up in the morning, ready for me to hang it out before work. I don’t even hear it so my sleep is not disturbed. Great on water and energy, just the right amount of wash settings and my clothes are rung out so much that drying time is reduced. Love this machine. Thoroughly recommended.

With multiple settings, functions and cycle options and easy-to-operate controls, this washing machine has been a joy to use. After decades of washing for a very large family, we downsized to 8kg and it’s plenty big and capable enough, and still suitable for bulky bedding, grotty work-clothes. Is straight-forward for visitors to use. Whether I need things to be quick or deeply soaked and washed, everything I’ve put in, washes and spins thoroughly, yet gently. It’s quiet, looks smart, has simple controls panel and I am extremely pleased with its performance.

As a single person with plenty of work and gym gear, the 8kg capacity is perfect—it handles regular loads easily but offers plenty of space for bedding or towels when needed. The variety of wash cycles is great, especially the quick wash for midweek loads, and everything comes out clean and fresh. It’s also very quiet, which I really appreciate in an apartment space. Overall, it’s efficient, easy to use, and a solid step up from my previous machine. Highly recommended!
