Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent fast dryer at a good price! We replaced our previous top-brand expensive heat-pump with this dryer after it started to no longer work properly (ie clothes still very wet) as we were told it would be expensive to fix. We have been very happy with this dryer after a couple of months of using it. It is much faster being a condenser dryer (probably more expensive to run but oh well) and clothes come out DRY which makes a nice change! It has a good range of settings which is helpful. My only beef really is that it is pretty loud. If you shut the door to your laundry it will be like a sauna after that, so running it in summer is a little fraught but perhaps most people wont feel the need to do that! So I think it is very good value, and am happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great dryer - though your sheets may disagree This is an excellent condenser dryer that has addresed a mould issue previously we had with a traditional vented style. It dries quickly and the large size handles big loads with ease. The drum light is very handy, especially when it comes to locating individual toddler socks whose entire life mission is to be separated from their partner. Buyer beware though - your sheets will cannabilise themselves. Your fitted sheet will seek to destroy its cottoned bretheren, inhaling pillowcases before consuming its flat sheet companion with ease. If this manchester devestation isn't enough, your now-manic fitted sheet will seek to consume itself, swallowing elasticised mouthfulls until it is tightly wound into a ball from which the centre sheets will not dry. I recommend stopping your sheet loads every half hour (or less) to untangle and thoroughly dry them. The condenser tank could also be slightly larger but typically handles two loads before requiring emptying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beco outperforms expectations Excellent performance, very happy to have chosen Beco over other brands since it exceeds my expectations. Contrary to other reviews in general about condenser driers taking a long time to dry clothes I found Beco a lot quicker than expected. Only light to install but does not vibrate or move, Avery sturdy unit. The light in the drum is a nice feature and the control panel and switch a breeze to operate, so easy. The long warranty is the icing on the cake, so yes a very happy customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT PERFORMANCE AND LOOKS I purchased this condenser dryer to replace an old Electrolux condenser dryer. While I mostly only dry towels, the new Beko dryer certainly does the job well. The sensor dry function is great.The time remaining display is useful, but don't be alarmed at the initial times, which are a standard time for each program. The time will adjust downwards if the items do not need the initial time period. It is also good to have a cool setting, useful for just fluffing up already dry towels, that may have become a little "harsh" in the wash. It has a wide range of programs for different materials, and most have an option to adjust the desired level of dryness. It is also a very good size drum , suitable for almost all large items ( blankets etc) The dryer also looks sylish, and the internal light is a nice touch. Excellent value for money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So many great new features. It has excellent new features in comparison to the 15 year old Asko it replaces. I'm still working out the best cycles to use to achieve desired dryness in least amount of time. There are plenty of options to work with. I chose it because I like the simple interface and the condenser features without the excessive programming of the more expensive models that would likely require higher maintenance costs over the long run. So far I'm happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really happy! Really happy with this dryer. It's 8kg drum makes it easy to get through large loads of washing, it's pretty quiet and has a lot of handy drying modes. The fact that it's a condenser means it doesn't generate a lot of moisture, and because I had to install it in a cupboard, I don't have to worry about it creating mould. My only complaint would be that sometimes I need to put a load on twice to ensure it is completely dry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Early signs are good! It's a bit early to tell for sure, but it seems like a very good machine. The user interface is intuitive and it seems to do a good drying job. One little issue we've noticed is the fabric softener sheets we use find themselves on the ledge at the front of there drum by the door where the lint filter is. That means the sheet isn't doing its job tumbling around with the clothes or towels. Otherwise pretty good!

Surprise and delight!! It has a drum light, I love this. The performance is excellent and quite. It takes less time than indicated as the sensor works a treat and knows when the washing is dry. This saves energy, my money and the planet! Highly recommend.

Does this need to be plumbed in or does it have a little tank that will collect the water which would need to be emptied regularly?

Thank you for your question. The Beko 8kg Sensor Condenser Dryer has a built-in water tank that collects moisture and needs to be emptied manually on a regular basis. For added convenience, it also includes an optional drainage hose that can be connected at the back of the machine to allow continuous draining into a nearby outlet
