Fantastic machine
I bought this a week ago and I’m so happy I did. I’ve been on a journey to replicate the taste of coffee I used to get with an old manual machine that lasted me 12 years. I’ve been looking for less mess with grinds. Ive tried pod machines and semi automatic, but THIS IS THE ONE!
It was very easy to setup, by following an online training app. It took less than 20 minutes and 10 cups of coffee to get the right grind to make a perfect coffee. The pressure dial is awesome to see how good the extraction is going. The steam wand makes a perfect silky smooth milk every time. I’ve never bought the Breville brand before but I’m really impressed with it.
The highlight for me is the inbuilt tamper system which limits the grind mess. And I really love the pressure dial too. The time it takes to make a coffee is comparable to the auto machines. Overall this is a terrific machine.

So impressed
I still can’t believe the difference the breville express impress makes to my morning coffees. I’ve been loyal to pod machines for over a decade trying several machines over the years, but this just takes coffee to another level. It looks amazing, is super easy to use and clean and the coffee consistently comes out perfectly . Such great value having this at home. Oh, if you really want to impress your friends after dinner, try making Affogato with an expreso shot from this machine. Desserts made in heaven!

Simply The Best
I am a coffee expert being a teacher! And also have barista qualifications. This machine is simply outstanding. I watched how it was made and engineered. I don’t want a machine that you simply push a button and out comes your coffee. I want feedback and the ability to adjust my coffee. I use only the best beans and this machine produces a beautiful coffee every time. Congratulations on the inbuilt tamp, water filter and the beautiful finish and pressure gauge that is so needed to produce the perfect cup.

Great Machine for Home
Great machine overall! This machine was an upgrade to our previous one which did not have an inbuilt grinder. The machine works efficiently, and makes far less noise than our previous Breville (10 years old) which is great! It is super easy to use, and the automatic tampering is super helpful in assisting you to make the perfect coffee. It does sometimes skip a beat, but so far has been pretty good. The machine is relatively compact. The milk frother is my only complaint as the previous machines frother seemed to make much better milk - for some reason this one does not seem as smooth when frothed. But overall great machine.

Impress-ed with the coffee
The Barista Express Impress had made keeping my kitchen counter tidy so much easier, gone are the days of coffee grinds every where after grinding, tamping or cleaning up.
While I'm no coffee making expert, the auto dose and tamp lets me create a tasty cup of coffee comparable to what you'd get from cafes with minimum hassle!

Beyond Expectations
Upgraded the old faithful Barista Express for the Impress to suit the new kitchen. Sea salt colour looks amazing and the plastic protector for the front of the base is a nice touch. Really hope the paint stands the test of time. The machine itself surpassed expectations. The ground tamper process is often messy and the impress solves this and more important provided the right tamp each time. Once you get the ground right the enthusiasm for that extra coffee steps up a notch. As a long black/ macchiato drinker the machine delivers on the creme and on taste. Paired with the Vittoria Rex beans, the Impress delivers pretty darn close to the Melbourne institution experience.

Very Impressive Experience
A little hesitant buying the Impress as I wanted to do the whole WDT and Tamping myself but after having wrist pains I have come to love the amazing looking sea salt Barista Express Impress. The colour is has been noticed by a lot of my friends and they all love it!
The heating time is very decent, and I have already pulled great tasting espresso without wasting a lot of beans with the use of the dosing "happy face" system! although it does still make a small mess after tamping and leave some coffee on the top side of the portafilter but nonetheless I am loving this machine!
