Introducing Breville's the Oracle Automatic Espresso Machine, the world's first automatic-manual unit that delivers authentic café quality coffee to your home. A breeze to use, this machine comes with a variety of useful features like automatic grinding, dosing, tamping and milk texturing. It is also meticulously engineered in Sydney with more than three years of research and development to ensure top-of-the-line quality.
Key Features
- Fast and Straightforward: Enjoy premium-tasting coffee at any time of the day. Breville the Oracle Automatic Espresso Machine offers seamless operations and can produce two lattes or two cappuccinos in 90 seconds.
- Ample Capacity: The Bean Hopper has a 280g capacity, while the water tank can contain up to 2.5L.
- Precise Extraction: Its dual stainless steel boiler heating system and heated 58mm group head incorporate Digital Temperature Control (PID) to keep the water at the right temperature. This technology allows for optimum flavour extraction.
- Ultimate Convenience: Extract your coffee and froth your milk simultaneously with the independent brew and steam boiler.
- Burr Grinder: The unit is equipped with a conical burr grinder that grinds, doses, and tamps up to 22 grams of coffee directly into the portafilter. You can also choose from 45 distinct grind settings to satisfy your bean preference.
- Maximum Taste: The pre-infusion function gently provides low water pressure around 2-4 bars so coffee grinds can expand and enhance oils' release. It then boosts the water pressure to 9 bars for full extraction. You can also easily program the pressure and duration to better suit your preference.
- Milk Texturing: The self-cleaning Auto MilQ™ steam wand tempers and textures milk according to your liking. It also delivers silky smooth microfoam so you can easily make latté art and unleash your inner barista.
- Auto Purge Feature: Say goodbye to bitter or burnt-tasting coffee. The automatic purge function flushes the overheated water to achieve the ideal extraction temperature.
- Flexible Shot Control: To help you quickly adjust how much coffee you would like to add to your cup, the Oracle lets you select from one shot, two shots or manual control.
- LCD Display: Thanks to its built-in LCD, you'll be able to easily view the relevant information needed to make a café quality coffee every time. Now you can adjust the grind settings, milk texture, and temperatures on the fly.
- One-Touch Americano: It integrates a one-touch Americano feature that pours double espresso and adds hot water straight to your cup.
- Convenient Functions: Thanks to its Clean Me feature, the machine will display when a maintenance cycle is required (after approx. 200 shots). Plus, the dedicated hot water button lets you heat cups, prepare water for tea, or even rinse your milk jug.

The best all-around experience, one cup at a time.
I have had my Oracle since 2015. It has provided me with countless hours of great conversation and coffee. I have enjoyed the opportunity to explore various coffee beans and different types of roasts while always having perfect control of the brewing. Needless to say that when it finally fell ill with a mechanical problem, Breville support showed me how courteous and professional a company they are. They tried to repair my unit but it didn't work, so they replaced it with a new one. I am amazed. As a participating member in the customer service industry, I find loyalty most flattering for a job well done. Thank you Breville

Great machine with even better service
I purchased an Oracle in late 2016. The machine does a great job at what it is designed to do. What was equally impressive was the service that was there to back up the machine when we had some issues with it in mid 2017. Breville was very responsive with their support. Once it was determined that it would require some repairs, they sent us the proper packaging and shipping label. Including transit time there and back, the entire repair service took 8 days. No additional cost to us, just the minor hassle of not being able to brew our own beverages for 8 days. Despite the little hiccup with the machine, the service provided by Breville made the experience much less frustrating.

Life by caffenation!!
All I can say is that Breville has taken such amazing care of me as a consumer. The oracle has being changing my life since 2016. We are taking 3-5 espresso daily for myself and anyone that will join me in a latte or cappuccino. I have used this machine to the maximum and its has brought so much joy to me and my family. My kids can make me espressos and lattes anytime. The functionality of the machine is so simple my kids know how to operate it. I have friends swing by all time just for coffee. This machine has brought quality time with friends and family. I can't say how much I love it. 🥰

Great machine if you are willing to give up some control
I've had my Oracle for 5 years, and it does all the basics very well with minimal effort. If you get more into the technical aspects of making espresso drinks, it does have some limitations . The grinder dosing is not easily adjustable; and more critically, the steam wand does not swivel to the side to more easily control milk texturing, it only goes up and down and must be fully down to steam (auto temperature shutoff and purging are nice). Only other criticism is the grinder is quite noisy compared to standalone ones. Overall a very good machine, however.

Great semi automated coffee machine
I love this semi automated bean to cup coffee machine, it has just the right blend of manual and automation to allow you to easily create a perfect cup without needing a degree in coffee science! I tried the more expensive version of this but found that you have less control.
A couple of niggles are that you get inconsistencies every now and then and the one shot basket is a little flakey, hence only 4 stars....
Oracle customer service team have been excellent if you need to contact them.
My biggest tip would be to source fresh coffe from a local roastery, rather than buy supermarket stuff thats been sat in the shelf for months!

Shot volume varies significantly across the day
I bought this to replace my previous manual sage barista express. Although I highly rate the automated tamping and milk foaming which puts this machine above my old one; the consistency of shots across the day is appalling. Instinct tells me this is related to the heat of the machine starting later in the day vs from overnight cold. But keeping the same settings (grind size etc) the perfect shot in the morning can be up to double the volume in the afternoon. This makes adjusting the grind sizes across the day a bit of a guessing game resulting in a lot of wasted coffee. Customer services been advising for months and even had a repair man sent out to my house. Such a shame as when the machine works, the coffee is top notch!

Great features but unreliable!
This is the 3rd oracle I have owned and have mixed emotions about it! Firstly it is stylish, extremely functional and makes great coffee!!! It is also simple to use.BUT it will only last 2 - 2.5 years before developing multiple faults such as boiler failure, temperature switch issues, grinder deterioration to name but a few. You may ask why keep buying it if it is so bad. Well as I stated it makes great coffee and looks amazing and unfortunately to buy something more robust and reliable I would have to spend 3 or 4 times more. Great machine but it will fail eventually ( and sooner than you think considering the cost!)

Is it worth the price? YES
In short “YES”. I know people will think I have to say that as I purchased one but this really is a case or “you get what you pay for”. Since owning the Oracle I have found that the draw of coffee shops has all but gone.
The machine itself is so easy to use and makes you feel like a pro barista when in fact it is doing all the hard. I am personally a latte drinking and having the ability to make the milk the perfect temperature for my taste (depending on whether I want to drink it fast or over time).
All in all, if you love good coffee and you can afford it, just buy it, I promise you won’t regret it.
