Rated 5 out of 5 by from Came back to Fisher & Paykel no regrets [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After hhaving F & P machinescsince childhood, we were disappointed with our last one back in 2010 so changed brands... needed to upgrade so bought this machine and it's been a game-changer. The UV Sanitise feature is brilliant—everything feels fresher and cleaner, especially after sickness. It’s super quiet, easy to use, and I love the soft-close lid and smart water sensing. The wash cycles cover everything I need, and it’s energy and water efficient too. My only small gripe is that clothes can come out a bit damp, but an extra spin sorts that out easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the worst Fisher & Paykel top loader washing machine I have ever had … and I’ve always bought fisher & Paykel machines. It doesn’t wash the clothes properly and in every wash there is always detergent residue left on the clothes despite using a liquid detergent, reducing the load size and washing exactly as the instructions say. There are always grey marks left in the clothes, especially when washing dark coloured clothes. I am very unhappy and disappointed in this model. Do not buy this machine!

I was hesitant of having no agitator, but turns out I had nothing to worry about. I like the fact you can see how long a load will take/time remaining. It’s larger than our last F&P washing machine (7.5kg) yet is smaller in size so no issues fitting it in the gap. It’s also much quieter than the last one. The lid lock can be a little frustrating at times when you want to throw one more thing in the load that you missed, but not a show stopper.

Non-agitator is a cool idea, but I feel clothes are not washed as well. Timing doen't adjust for lareger loads - so even with auto level no account is made for a lot more water required. Also, some black iems always come out with dried soap in patches i have to put them through a second rinse. And some large items (Eg. fitted sheets) seem to collect a lot of lint.. None of this happened with my previousl model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was nervous changing brands and over to a top loader from a front loader but I have been nothing but impressed! Excellent, efficient, love the delay start for early mornings getting a load on the line before heading off to work and it’s quiet and stays level. Absolutely loving when I forget an item of clothing I can pause and open the lid to add it into the current load - hands down fantastic machine and would highly recommend to anyone nervous to switch.

This model is the worst of all the F&P washers i have had. The worst aspect is the lint left on most articles after washing. I have reduced the detergent down to half the recommended amount, with little change. Whilst i appreciate the environmental concerns in reducing the water level, i am struggling with this. Reasonably happy without a central agitator. Very happy with the capacity of the washer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So many options! Great looking machine but somewhat complicated with so many wash options. Maybe i am still getting used to the machine but i find a normal wash creases my clothes more than my previous F&P washer. It is harder to do a customized wash to overcome this. Using a powder detergent is messy as the hole is too small and i get powder around the sides. It better suits liquid detergent. I also am not a fan of the locking of the cover when filling with water as i would previously add clothes while the machine was filling. You can still stop the water and it unlocks etc so you can add clothes but not as smoothly as my previous washer. However better than a front loader in this regard. As i get more used to this machine , i am sure i will appreciate its safety features and its range of options more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smaller than expected [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this washing machine as I have always had a Fisher and Paykel machine with an agitator. I find my washing always tangles up with this machine, and it is a lot smaller than my previous machine. It's also annoying I cannot open the lid as with my previous machine to check water level or to add more laundry. The lint filter on this machine is much improved and the washing comes out as clean as before.

Questions & Answers

Does the washing machine allow programming of only 1 rinse when using a delicate cycle? We are on tank water, and need to conserve water. I use the delicate cycle alot and with my current machine have to manually fast forward.Thank you.

Great questions Marg. While you can't modify the number of rinses in a wash cycle, you can change how it rinses using the Eco mode. This changes it from a bulk rinse to a spray rinse, which uses less water. You can also adjust water levels used per cycle, spin speeds, and temp.
