Some great features and some poor.One of the reasons I bought this camera was so I could transfer photos to my PC via wifi, or so I thought. Setting wifi up was cumbersome and took quite a while. Then I found out, you can only copy photos via wifi to a Panasonic app, and from there you can only send them anywhere in a collage. And then I found I had to re-connect via wifi to see the photos on my pc again the next day. It's much easier just to hook up the USB cable and be done with it. Another feature of wifi is than you can trip the shutter and turn the camera off via a smart phone. Why you would want to do that I cannot imagine. On the plus side, it is a great camera and a joy to use. It just doesn't need so many bells and whistles that are really quite useless. One other annoying thing is that the button to view your shots in the viewfinder, is close to the 4k button and its easy to hit the 4k button and before you know what's happened, you're shooting in 4k. Bottom line is I am pretty happy with the camera for a travel camera opr for shooting snaps.

Fixed by Panasonic FOC, out of warranty in 1Yes, it failed electronically, but was fixed more than a year ago, for free, and is still working brilliantly. It has many complex features that can be ignored easily by casual photographers, but some really useful!

A Really Great Travel CompanionI have been an SLR/DSLR user for 50+ years. In 2019 I was going to Europe for 8 weeks (17 countries & 43 cities) and knew there was no way I could manage carrying a DSLR with all my luggage. I searched for the "Best Travel Camera" on-line and the Lumix TZ220 kept coming up highly recommended. Having had three Lumix cameras starting with the TZ7, I knew I couldn't go wrong and purchased a TZ220 and took my TZ70 along for backup. My TZ220 performed flawlessly over the 8 weeks taking nearly 7,000 photos, a few panoramas and a couple of videos (I am not a video person). The most impressive feature of the TZ220 for me is the fact it is the first compact camera I have experienced which can focus as quickly and reliably as my DSLR's and they are quick.I was delighted with the photo quality which the 1" sensor provides.
My only slightly negative comment is that the TZ220 is a very sophisticated and complex little beast with many features. Getting it to do exactly what you want can be a little frustrating, particularly if like me, you don't like reading instructions. I did not have use of the flash for the whole 8 weeks as I had inadvertently locked it out with one of the other settings and I didn't have time to sit down and fathom it out.
I recommend the TZ220 very highly, so much so I sold my TZ70 and bought a second unit. Two friends have also purchased based on my recommendation.

What does the 24-360 marking on the lense mean? I was hoping it meant 360mm, but the lense focal length says it’s a lot lower than that.

Hi Leanne, thanks for a great question. The camera has a base focal length of 8.8 - 132mm as standard. The 24-360 refers to the Optical Zoom feature offering you greater flexibility in 3:2 aspect be it a 24mm wide-angle shot, or a 360mm zoomed-in focus shot. Hope this helps.
