Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic compact laser printer! I bought this laser printer because I wanted the quality of print that it provides. All the features of this printer make it an awesome printer. It's functionality is the same as the MFDs that the office has i.e. it's wireless, has double-sided printing, scans and even faxes. The setup process is guided and easy to do. Lastly, it's not a big footprint, which is great if you only have a small amount of space. My office is 2 floors below my living area - with this printer I press the 'Print' button and walk downstairs to find the document already printed or completing it. If you're looking for a really awesome laser printer at a great price - this is the one!

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this MFC after reading some of the reviews, but I'm delighted to say that I have had a very positive experience since purchasing it. I've never had a problem with it and it has worked extremely well utilizing my home wifi to connect. I've sent print jobs from my laptop to the printer over the wifi without any issues. I've also scanned documents form the MFC to be save on to my laptop and this has worked flawlessly. I've also made double sided copies using the document feeder and again, this has worked without any issues. I am very satisfied with this MFC. Excellent laser print quality for a very reasonable price!

After viewing several models from a number of manufacturers I decided on a Brother.Arnt, I glad I did. This is the best working printer I have had in the last20years. It does all I need to do faster, cleaner, and with the best precision around. Thanks and regards , John.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, fast, reliable. Brother every time. Great printer. Still learning to drive it, but easy enough to learn. Upgrading from it's mono laser HL-L2305W (Nothing wrong with it, just needed an upgrade). This Brother MFC-L2713DW has a fax, printer, copier and scanner. Yet to use fax. Printer is great. It's nice and fast. The wi-fi works really well, so no need for the cables.. My computer has no R/W facility, but picked up the printer easily and was easy to install. Can print from my smart phone too. Very reliable. Brother is a reliable and affordable product. I have no hesitation to recommend purchasing any Brother product.

In many years of printing, I haven't bought a Brother printer before this recent purchase on the recommendation of a friend who has worked a long time in IT. It's been set up to print wirelessly from a MacBook, responds far more quickly than its name brand predecessor and I'm thrilled to have the versatility of double-sided printing too. That previous printer could not be set up wirelessly for some reason so that now there is one less cable on the work desk. What a saving of paper and space. All in all, after a few weeks of using the new printer, I have been very happy.

A little confusing to set up the software, and not entirely clear which of the multiple parts are for which function, but managed to get there in the end. Mainly bought for the multi page scanning function, but works well as a printer and copier as well, and very quaint that it still has the fax function.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worthwhile upgrade too AirPrint capabilities! Everything advertised it does! Bought this as an upgrade for an older series, with wireless printing in mind! Apple AirPrint does not disappoint at all! Was up and running within 5mins... You get 700pages with the starter toner cartridge, but would suggest highly too purchase the high yielding toner cartridge, which is about 3000pages maximum, but also higher print quality! More so for technical plans and drawings, whilst building and measuring into my iPadPro M2 app then directly print specifications directly via Apple AirPrint...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother Brilliance I am exceptionally happy with this printer. It was easy to setup and very easy to use. The WiFi function works perfectly and allows me to place the printer anywhere in my home. The Brother iPrint & Scan App is just brilliant and once again extremely easy to use, it provides the ability for me to print and scan from any device. The printing is sharp and clear and the scanner provides crystal clear text and images. The sleep function is also a great addition for power saving. I would absolutely recommend this printer

Thanks for your question Ric. Brother states this model can operate on any WIndows OS from Windows 7 32bit and 64bit or newer, or WIndows Server 2008 or newer. It accepts Mac Support from macOS 10.12x or newer. Trust this helps! ^CO

How long does the toner last

Great question Rach. The toner included with the unit will yield approximately 700 pages, the standard sized toner (TN-2415) yields approximately 1,200 pages, while the High Yield toner (TN-2445) yields approximately 3,000 pages. All page yields are based on 5% coverage, in accordance with ISO/IEC 19752. Trust this helps! ^CO

Can the automatic document feeder scan in duplex/2 sided mode?

Thanks for your question Shane. The MFCL2713DW model does not have automatic double sided scanning function. It only has automatic double sided printing. Hope this helps!

Does this model have a direct cable connection to a desk top computer for printing and scanning. What is the cost of replacement cartridges. I just need a black and white only copier.

Great question! Yes, This model has both Wired and Wireless connectivity, so you can use a direct cable to connect to a network or computer for scanning and printing. We can confirm this is a Black & White Laser printer, scanner, and copier, and aren't able to advise costs as these are subject to change.
