Easy as pie setup
My old Kodak printer that I have had for years finally gave it up. Went searching for a new one and Epson was recommended by am IT friend.
Usually my son sets up any computer related items that I have (he recently moved so not available).
I set this printer up, plugged it in, and the minute I connected it to my router it also connected to my desktop.
I like that I am able to print from my phone as well as my tablet.
Nothing could have been easier. And it was on sale!!
I would recommend this printer for home/personal use to anyone looking for an inexpensive print/copier/scanner. It also has a memory card slot.

Problems
I purchased this in January 2018 and have had much difficulty. I installed it and set it up to connect to my computer. It worked, but very very slow to respond. At times it would not print at all, so I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. After several attempts it printed the success page, however, now continues to state that the printer cannot be found. I have a new router, and 3 zones for my wireless, so connection should not be an issue. I am very disappointed, as I particularly purchased this for photos, as I have had experience with photography studios that used Epson Printers with great success. If you have any suggestions for me I would appreciate it!!

It prints, so that's good.
I've used Epson printers both at home and at work. Usually I have nothing bad to say at all about Epson's products, but this one I can't let go. This printer prints crooked. Right out of the box, first print, crooked. I looked for solutions online and it says try cleaning the rollers etc.. But this is a brand new printer. It shouldn't be doing this. No matter how much effort you put into making sure the paper is set in the feed slot straight, and where it should be, you'll get a crooked print. My friend owns one of these and he told me the same thing, and that he has had these issues since he bought it. Now he just 'deals' with it. I'm sorry but the FIRST design function of a printer should be that it prints STRAIGHT. There should be no effort on the consumers part besids loading the paper properly.
Sorry Epson, I do like your products, but this one I cannot endorse.

Easy and reliable
When I first bought the printer, I was skeptical that it would do everything I needed (based on the price). I found it was exceptionally easy to set up and works very well. I have not issues with this printer and would recommend it to anyone looking for a home printer for personal or work use.

Solid Performance!
I've owned my X.P. 440 printer a little over a year now and overall I'm very pleased with this home product! Being compact, it fits snugly on my computer desk and delivers above-par text and graphics quality output. I found this product to be reasonably priced while simultaneously providing me with solid performance, versatile (USB, wireless) connectivity, apt speed (7/10) and a suitable feature set that includes a tilt-up control panel, adequate rear paper feeder and an extendable output tray. Even though the inkjet's running costs are somewhat high, I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends.

Very confusing!
I brought this about 6 months ago. I'm taking it to the thrift shop this weekend. The controls on the front of the machine are confusing, with icons instead of text. The back cheap plastic bar that holds loaded paper up slides down so the paper constantly falls forward. Scanning is confusing, too. The only good feature is that XL ink does seem to last longer than XL cartridges for other brands. Also, the smaller size fits the space I have available in the cabinet. Other than that, I don't like this machine at all. My old AIO printers from other manufacturers were much simpler to use.

EASY INSTALL
I purchased this printer two days ago and just installed it today. It was exceptionally easy to install. My only complaint would be that I found the key pad to be a bit flimsy and it would sometimes double-key an entry. But then I found the BACKSPACE key (pays to read ALL the instructions). Wireless connection was a breeze. The software handled everything automatically. One word if you use MAC filtering on your router ... add the MAC address for your printer before doing the wireless setup or you will end up inputting some info twice. All in all I am very happy, the print samples look great and I am looking forward to lots of great results.

Easy set up and great price for average Joe
Wanted to get a basic printer for documents and pictures looked at laser printers no way too much up keep. This printer looks and sets up pretty fast if you know a bit about computers. I did the set up from WWW.epson.com/support and it took me right through the steps to set up my device. I was scared to set up wirelessly from my computer to the printer but it was pretty easy. Im 49 retired military and have been away from computers for about 6 years and it was informational as well as amazement at how advanced technology has come. My printer broke down after 10 years This is my replacement good name good product and easy to install A+++
