Fantastic headphones great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using these headphones for two weeks now I have had quite a few different types of head phones over the years but these Sony noise canceling headphones are quite simply the best headphones I have ever used Sony app is fantastic and easy to use lots of great features. The lovely tones and the bass sound is brilliant the best headphones I have ever used the design is stunning so comfortable to wear no Bluetooth drop off while using them. Headphones com3 in a great carry case charge lead and airplane adapter. The 360 reality sound is brilliant changes the sound complete for the better.

Awesome but one thing...
Sound better than all headphones I’ve tested personally as I work in the music industry. Main fault I would give is that these don’t work the best with DAW’s as they are very sensitive so connect and disconnect whenever I’ve used certain hardware they turn off themselves after a while (while making edits to a mix!) it would be good to get a jack adapter for the headphones and when I use any other one they keep disconnecting randomly.
Another is the sound sensitivity to your voice I understand the feature for talking can be turned off but it is extremely sensitive whenever you sing along or make a sound they turn right down.

Amazing sound let down by the mic
With constant teams meetings my wired headphones were starting to get annoying. After reviewing what I thought was every review I could find, these seemed to tick all the boxes. Great start unboxed them and bowled over by the sound. Teams call colleagues couldn't hear me so thought I just hadn't got something set up correctly. Started to search for mic issues and raised a support case. Have been advised by support that these are recommended for phones and not pc calls. Do I hold on and hope some firmware sorts it or throw in the towel and go for Bose ones that work with Teams? So if you want great sound and don't do pc calls then these are amazing, if you do then think twice.

Great audio quality, no mute button for microphone
I am a long time fan of Sony and I bought these headphones given the universal high praise.
The build quality is superb, the audio quality is pure joy when listening to music/podcasts etc. Works well also for gaming. Battery life and charging are great and the noise cancelling is impressive.
The double connection via bluetooth is handy when having 2 devices which you need at the same time.
However, for work related tasks these headphones are quite poor. Limited compatibility with Microsoft Teams and worst of all, no command to mute the microphone during the call unless you are in front of the phone/laptop. This should be fixed via an update.

Simple choice!
I had to switch from an older model of similar Sony headphones due to micro usb connector (please someone, forbid this useless interface) which started to loosen and stopped charging. The headphones were used for several hours daily for almost 4 years without any problems, so choosing the Sony XM4 with USB-C was easy. Noice Canceling and sound quality are, if possible, better than the two previous models. The ability to connect two devices at the same time also contributed to the choice of XM4, but it unfortunately works poorly with the iPhone 12 mini, Macbook Air M1 and Spotify, which is not a very unusual combo. I guess the fault is not Sony's.

I’m literally so impressed
So due to covid I am having to continue studying (mature student) for my masters degree at home rather than in an architectural studio... my house is noisy and being stressed I tune into all sorts of noises which impact my work and creativity, these headphones are brilliant, I love the speak to chat function although sometimes singing can be problematic as it turns what you are listening off... but They are easy to set up and sync with other devices and generally use, not to mention give you a really
immersive sound experience. They have saved my work and I’m so impressed with the noise cancelling, well worth the rather pricy plunge.

Great with one important caveat
I would give these five stars as these are great headphones: fantastic, clear, resonant sound, and the noise cancelling is as good as anyone could hope for. There is one significant caveat: Around once a day, the bluetooth connection with my iPhone suddenly drops. I'm connected on the Sony app, I've downloaded the very latest software, and trawled through every fix I can find. I'm slightly at a loss as to what to do, so I usually just turn them off and back on. I'm sticking with them for now because everything else about these headphones is so great, in the hopes that some future update will resolve the problem -- but Sony, if you're listening, this is a major barrier to enjoying a great product.

Sensational Sound - Listen In Comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment you put these headphones on you relaise how comfortable they are! Using the headphone App helps to configure the headphones for hi fi sound using TIDAL. A very dynamic sound performance. From a band to an orchestra the music plays so sweetly in your head. Connectivity is excellent via Bluetooth; quality sound from my iPod or iPad or IMac with streamed music. The comfort is so good that I am able to wear them for as long as I want. But overall it is the sound quality from them that makes them so good. I have other SONY headphones but the lates take the prize for being first rate. I love them.
