Until you have one, you'll never know how bad your Wi-fi was.
I was sick of lag, buffering and drop-outs. So after much research I settled on the ORBI RBK 760 series. Holy Molly, what a difference quality gear makes. My Wi-Fi is faster than my fibre that comes to my house! Everything just works perfectly and makes my old high quality router/modem look like an old dog of a thing. No more black spots or dropouts. I know they're not cheap but if you are sick of rubbish Wi-Fi, get onto these, you wont be sorry. Easy to set up and the management software is easy to use and very handy to test the signal.

Orbi Mesh AX5400
The Orbi was simple to setup and connect to my network. It took me some time before my smart tv would recognize the network. After downloading the Orbi it would be good if you could check the speed of the system through the app.

Great speed but weak mesh sistem and lame app
I bought a Gigabyte plan from my ISP, and my old router could not provide more than 200 Mbps. My old router is an AmplifiHd. It is extremely stable and the mesh sistem works flawless.
So, I bought Netger Orbi AX5400 with 1 satellite. The speed grew up to 800 Mbps, which is maximum promised by the ISP. Everything seemed okay.
But, immediately the problems started :
- very limited app setup options, you have to login in browser to do port forwarding., etc.
- the mesh software is flawed, when some devices, TVs par exemple, change from router to satellite or back, the soft change something and they don't connect to the wifi anymore. I had to write the wifi password in Tv settings almost daily.
- the signal is very weak compared to Amplifi, the satellite is placed at a window with direct view to 2 wifi security cameras, at 15 meters, and the signal is bad. The router is at the first floor, at ground floor Apple tablets loose the signal often.
- I put the old router in a LAN socket from Netger, at 20 cm near each other, I created another wifi network with Amplifi, I connected Tvs and ground foor devices at this Amplifi network, and the signal from AmpliFi is flawless.
- I keep the NAS and Hue Bridge wired connected in Netger and some of the first floor devices connected at Netgear wifi. The TVs from first floor are now connected to Amplifi wifi.
- the stability of Netger wifi is lame compared to AmplifiHD
- I hope that future firmware updates to solve the problems, is it a shame that the speed is ruined by the bad mesh implementation.
