Not out-of-the-box friendly; though when set-up works wellHad to tweak and re-tweak multiple times to refine and get the system working well for me. We live on a very busy road, so had to disable PIR for the front cameras and go just with motion (also switched off IR at the front as the street lights are ample enough). The cameras are great, the app works well for me; though did find with my internet speed (NBN50 on HFC) I had to reduce the substream down to 640x480). Not entirely convinced by the claimed "heat detection technology" as our clothes line in the back seems to set off the camera - so in summary, great cameras / system however you will need to tweak and re-tweak the settings on each individual camera until you get it working as optimally as possible for you.

Great Cameras - Rubbish System and AppLike other reviewers have stated; There is no way for family members to view the camera feeds and receive notifications on their devices. You can only have one account and be logged in on one device. Totally ridiculous!! The cameras are great, the picture quality is great, however it is severally let down by the system (exclusion zones are ignored as far as I can tell by the constant notifications received triggered by events in the exclusion zones). Notifications then take you to the general list of recordings and not direct to the clip of the event that triggered the alert. And don't even get me started on the App - bitterly, bitterly disappointed, not being able to have multiple accounts is shocking in this day and age. Until it is resolved I would genuinely advise against purchasing this system.

Compatibility issuesAdded this camera to an existing NVR system, This added a different level of security to my system with the lights and voice control, which is great. The images are of a better standard than the older cameras I have, especially at night. however, the system does not support any analytics for this camera, despite their website stating it was compatible with the existing system I have. Installing this camera also caused the "Homesafe view" app to stop working. I installed the new "Swann security" app on my phone and it could not connect with the Recorder.
Overall this is a great camera, the images and additional functions it has with the speaker and light are great. Swann just needs to make sure their products are compatible across their range and with their app for better functionally.

Durable and clever.I bought an NVR system with 4 of these bullet cameras for usage on paranormal investigations. This means my whole setup, including the cameras move around a lot and these cameras are incredibly durable and easy to set up. Flashlight and siren features work well for catching our attention when one of the cameras senses movement. 4K resolution and powerful infrared night vision work perfectly in all environments, indoor and out. I have plans to double my camera arsenal in the future with these 4K bullet cameras. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is that the cameras cannot be mounted to any tripods.

Absolute trashWasted good coin buying what I thought was SwannSecurity’s best available but landed garbage instead. App crashes constantly, features advertised don’t deliver and motion sensing is in reliable.
I should of read the reviews prior as most sound very accurate with my experience.

Firmware updates need attention.** NOTE FOR SWANN TECH **
I have just updated the firmware on 4 of my cameras.
Previous firmware version was V14.45.5.0_210903
This had a bug with the siren which started loud and after a second went very quite.
The new recent firmware has fixed that issue.
But unfortunately it's introduced another issue.
The current and latest firmware is V14.45.5.0_220713
This new firmware has stopped the date and time being shown on the stream. So both live stream and playback recordings no longer show the timestamp. No matter what settings you select it will no longer show the time on the video stream. (Tried rebooting and all the usual resetting etc but nothing works)
The option is there and has the relevant tick so should be showing the timestamp and date. But they just don't show anything.
It's quite an important feature, especially when providing video as evidence for police etc.
Please fix this Swann TECH in your next firmware update because it's certainly isn't working at the moment (when connected to my NVR8-8780 with latest FW)

Only interested in 2 way audio, siren, motion sensor spotlights, and mobile app monitorI have these cameras and only interested in the 2way audio, siren, motion sensor spotlights, mobile app monitor. Other features do not work that well. The night vision degraded and became darker after 1.5 years using the camera outside under the end of the roof and shade area. This is in San Jose, California area and average temperature in winter 42F no snow and summer 85F and occasionally rain. Are there better cameras than these?
