Finally shaver that does the job perfectly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was always sceptical with the shavers due to my hair being very thick and fast growing. I always needed to shave twice a day to maintain fresh look.Philips shaver is doing the job in a half time other shavers do, I don’t have to shave second time and the cleaning process is fast.Quick Charging makes it even easier to use.I will recommend it to my friends and family and I will buy one for my dad for a birthday gift - he struggles with the same hair problems as me and this shaver is a perfect solution for both of us- finally I found a shaver that does the job exactly how I wanted it to

Just constantly leaves hairs
It took me three times as long to shave with this series 9000 shaver than it does with my 6 year old 6900 series shaver. It constantly leaves hairs and no matter how many passes it just refuses to cut them. I've no idea why. I'm so disappointed with this shaver. Seems more effort went into unnecessary features and the actual function has lost out. I've never had to change a blade head in my 6 year using the 6900. It seems like I'm going to have to buy a new set after a single shave because to cutting power is awful. Avoid. This is atrocious for such a cost. Would return it if I could but even that's made so difficult!

Overall disappointed - not meaningful improvement
This shaver is good, but my much older Philips 9000 Prestige which provides a closer and more comfortable shave. The 'pressure guard sensor' and 'motion control sensor' sounded good on the advert, but in daily use they are just gimmicks that don't add real value (at least, not for someone who has been shaving for more than 40 years!) One really clever innovation is to have a much smaller cleaning station which is powered by the shaver itself - takes up less space, and cleaning is easier. But overall I am disappointed, and this new shaver is now unused at the back of my cupboard and I've gone back to my Philips 9000 Prestige, which still provides the best electric shave a man can get.

Quality and ease of use of this product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Phillips shavers for many years and have always been very happy with them. I have been using this particular model for just last two weeks now and am extremely satisfied with the results. I get a good smooth shave every time with no skin irritation at all. The charging time of 60 minutes is very good and the shaver gives at least 60 minutes use between charges. I liked the versatility of cleaning methods using the brush, running water or the cleaning fluid. I also liked the separate charging stand. In all, I could find nothing that I disliked about the design or features of this product.

Gives a close shave, but it is bulky and inconveni
The shaver is significantly bigger than my previous Philips, which feels leas comfortable in my hand.
But what is really annoying is the shaving heads layout. They seem to be more spread out, which is ok for the large surfaces like neck and cheeks, but for the curvy areas I now need more passes to get them smooth. The bulky surface around the shaving heads make it impossible to shave my the mustache under the nose, especially with the annoying large protrusion of the lid hinge. I spend a lot of time pushing the shaver into my nose in weird angles until my mustache is smooth.
Seems like I paid premium price for whistles and bells, but a lousy basic shaving. Very disappointing!

This shaver i got 99987/55 is brilliant shaver i used wet because it shave well smooth
now i have notice from the manual that i have download it read it and saying that dry shave is recommend it but i going to have disagree with Philips because is depend on the type of skin my skin is soft and smooth and does well with wet shave i have try dry before with my previous shaver few year ago did not work very well that why i stop it then until now decided to buy one again and now much better for my shave with wet shave i like said is depend on people skin that work for them in dry or wet just that simple

Good, but slightly disappointed
I have been using Philips Shavers all my adult life....50 years. This one performs well, similarly to all the rest, although it does have more features and bling, which aren't exactly necessary in a shaver. It is much larger than previous shavers, so maybe not useful for small hands. The shaver doesn't sit firmly in it's stand and leans to the right and is rather wobbly. Furthermore, the stand does not have an illuminated ring as shown in the videos. For such an expensive shaver I was extremely surprised that there was no protective cap for the shaver head. This has always been supplied on previous shavers....even much cheaper model 5000 ones! Also no proper instructions, which was rather disappointing. Otherwise pleased with my purchase.

Simply The Best
Now into my 60s and have shaved electric for most of my shaving life as, whilst a wet shave was always closer, the resulting rash, following a couple of shaves, led to too much discomfort. But no longer! My old Philps was getting tired so I asked my wife for the 9000 after reading some good reviews.....and I have not been disappointed. Best electric shave ever. No real acclimatization period, just close, comfortable shaves....as smooth as a wet shave but no rash or burn. Pressure light is good, motion probably not so important but my shaving time is now greatly reduced as there is no need to keep going over stubborn patches. I mainly shave dry but it is very good wet on fhose sticky mornings. Love the cleaning system, which I use daily, but a cartridge lasts much more than 30 days so I just reset the counter. Probably my only criticism, as this could work out expensive, when I'm not sure it needs to be. 100%:recommended.
