Love it!
I bought this as a bathroom speaker. I started looking at cheap speakers but realised I wanted good quality sound even while in the shower. This little thing packs a punch for sure. It easily fills the room with sound and the sound quality itself is fantastic. The amount of bass is amazing considering its size. Sure, it won't growl like a big speaker, but physics comes into play here folks, you have to temper expectations. But this will surely exceed them to some degree. Lovely little speaker and so glad I decided to spend the extra money. My only niggle is that battery life is a bit poor if it's left in standby while connected to wi-fi.

Useless battery life
Bought it 2 weeks ago, after a full charge I didn't use it for a week and went to turn it on and was completely dead. Charged again and with little use the battery drops so fast. Even tried charging to full and without use overnight the battery dropped 30%. Contacted support and they were little help, seems like the typical scripted checks they run through and the first thing was what charger did you use, I tried to point out that regardless of the charger ( I used an iPad charger) the battery was at 100% , she couldn't get past the charger point so I advised I will be returning it for a refund as I won't waste my time with useless support who have no technical knowledge.

Great sound, Terrible Battery
The battery on this speaker is TERRIBLE and Sonos does not provide any guidance in terms of how to achieve the 10 hrs of battery life touted on the product page. I was fully charged and lasted less than 2 hrs on bluetooth. Also, frustrating that there is no charging brick included since you really need more watts than a standard iPhone charger can supply. The sounds is great for a portable speaker and has surprisingly good base. I only kept because I'm using it to replace my echo in my bedroom and has the added benefit of somewhat mobility when needed. Sonos should really provide better guidance on how to maximize battery life.

Great Sound.... When you can connect to it.
The sound is really good for such a small speaker..... However, it seems every time my listening situation changes, and I mean EVERY time I go to a different network, or off network and try Bluetooth, or even go back to my home network I have to set up the Roam speaker all over again. Maybe change the name from Roam to Wander (or Wonder - if it's going to work). This is my only Sonos device. I had planned on setting up a few Sonos Ports to control whole home audio system but they still aren't available so I got a Roam to evaluate the Sonos app (can't do that without a device). Not sure Sonos is the right solution.

Cannot use with an existing system on Sonos 1 app
Very disappointed, as my existing system components use S1 app & Roam has to use S2. The majority of my existing components, cannot operate on S2. I can only use Roam on a seperate system. This means Roam will only get used as a portable speaker. Very frustrating that I cannot use it as part of my existing system which includes, Play 1, Play 5, Play bar, & bridge. I would not have bought this product if I had known the limitations, & to only be able to use it as a portable speaker. SONOS you need to sort this out, as all it seems you want is customers to upgrade from expensive products, to newer expensive products. Unacceptable!!!!!!

does not charge. also speaker will gaslight you.
I have a wireless charger and multiple USB-C chargers. This speaker has not been charging reliably on any of the cords, or the wireless. It's definitely not me, it's the speaker. This includes the cable which came with it, an apple usb-c cable, and a nintendo switch cable. HUH?! Also, even though I power the device off and quit the sonos app, the speaker still turns on. When? couldn't tell you! It seems to turn on after you've powered it off, sucking all the precious battery life, for when it does decide to charge. Had me wondering if I was actually turning it off. Also there's a delay in sound from video when connected as a bluetooth advice.

Amazing Smart Speaker
I love this speaker. It has amazing sound as one would expect from Sonos and the incorporation of Google Assistant as well as Alexa makes this the perfect device to handle all my needs. My favorite spot for this speaker so far has been on the back of my garden tub. I love being able to lay in the tub and play music without having to fidget with buttons or apps. I also don't have to worry about it being splashed or accidentally dunked in (although this hasn't happened yet, thankfully.) I also love that I can take it with me and it's ready to pair to bluetooth when I need it. Definitely a speaker everyone needs...

Awesome addition to a Sonos home
The Sonos Roam has a lot to live up to when considering the product line it is joining. The Roam certainly fills a void though. It offers surprisingly enjoyable sound quality and extreme portability. I love my Sonos Move, however don't love lugging it around when I'm out and about. The Sonos Roam is the perfect size to toss in a backpack for a hike or a bike ride. It does not break up at higher volumes like a cheaper Bluetooth speaker would. I love that it integrates seamlessly into my multi room audio set up and is very useful around the house as well as on the go. Lastly, the only thing better than a Sonos Roam is a pair of them in stereo!
