Good satelite Freeview box
Good bit of kit for when you can't get UHF in your area. UHF is more ideal.and most good TV have a good UHF tuner built in. My Mum just moved into a home in Waiuku and there was no way to get terrestrial Freeview, so satelite the only way.i set it up for her and got it running very easily. Dedicated Netflix button is great. Only issue I found was the remote can't be programmed forget Veon TV (more of an issue with the TV than this box though). The WiFi connectivity is great, no need to ethernet cables.bthe little remote is easy to use and contrary to some other reviews I found, it's actually quite intuitive to use.

Tidy Unit
I had researched the cost and features of this unit and found that Harvey Norman offered a great deal on this particular product. The set up of the unit was a relatively simple task, the auto tuning functions ensuring everything fired straight out of the box. We have a wirless network and I was expecting issues setting this up but my concerns were unfounded. Essentially I wanted something that delivered freeview programmes and allow me to record them with little or no fuss. We have experience using the Sky TV recording option and did initially struggle with the functionality of the remote (this relates to the 4 star rating posted) but this has resolved over time. I will say that I did not find the remote control particularly intuitive. The quality of sound and image is quite spectacular and the Netflix option truly enhances the features of this product.

A wonderfully convenient device
This was the 4th one of these dvd/recorders - the others have been terrestrial, this one a satelite. This one was for my daughter in the far north where reception is sometimes sketchy. On installation she reported an immediate improvement in the quality of the picture. The ability to be able to programme and then watch programmes at leisure is the main advantage of this unit. All the other three have proved to be extremely reliable and user friendly. The only disadvantage is that the player is locked to Region 4 DVDs on supply. This can be unlocked by taking the unit to a Panasonic service centre at no cost. However, this is an inconvience which could be avoided if it was supplied unlocked. Otherwise these units are a wonderful convenience.
