Our new favouriteI bought the new favourite model to replace our 10 yr old one but have had two failures now, one a broken internal water line and two a corruption of the stainless steel liner. This latest one is apparently a cut from a carving knife, in a place where they would not be placed for one and also we don't put our German carving knives in the dishwasher.a split that cannot be seen with the naked eye. not warranty covered. So I'm interested how many other people have had this?

My best friend the dishwasherThis is our second AEG dishwasher and we are very impressed. The first was good ( it lasted 27 years ) and this one is quieter and has more capacity, though I can't comment on longevity.

Nice machine with poor designThe dishwasher functions very well for its main job - washing dishes - it is quiet and easy to use. It has a range of timing options, from what I understand from more eco to less. However, it has a few terrible design flaws - the racks are very plasticky and do not seem quality, especially the cutlery drawer. The two dish racks have sides that are too low and are not supportive of tall glasses - especially wine glasses have no support unless you lie them down almost horizontally on the top rack - they don't fit well at all in the bottom rack as the spikes are too short. I find the spikes in the bottom rack too close to comfortably put one plate in each. The on/off button is hidden on top of the door - I guess you get used to it, but normally I close the dishwasher then look to start it up.... here you have to turn it on before closing it, then close it, then press start... not a big deal, but annoying. To top it off the installation instructions don't match. I'd recommend not trying to decipher them and to double measure everything yourself. It might depend on your exact cabinetry, but for mine, following the template exactly resulted in everything being mismatched by a few millimetres.
