The littlest freezer that couldOnly had this chest freezer a couple of weeks but so far it seems to be doing the job. I bought it because of the energy star rating. It comes with 2 wire baskets. If you're freezing pieces of meat for cooking one meal then the wires of the wire baskets may be a little too wide, so perhaps getting a suitable sheet of food-grade plastic or the like might be useful The middle setting of the thermostat is keeping the interior at -20c - exactly where I want it, and when the compressor is running it is very quiet. It seems to be doing everything that a chest freezer should do. If you're wanting to freeze a lot of fruit in the summer you may want to get the next model up, but this model is big enough for me.

Little chest freezer benefits.I've just downsized to a compact little freezer after years of family life storage. No more digging deep for me. Its a perfect little 145L freezer. Little space required and lightweight to handle with 2 baskets at the top make it easy to access those regular foods. The price was so affordable, but if you need to , it can be paid off ! I'm saving even more money as it has a 4 star rating. This is a win win for me.

Very energy efficient!So far working as expected. And it's one of the most energy efficient freezers we could find!

Great question Elle. This model features a manual defrost and is not frost free. It has a drainage plug located on the front right toward the bottom of the unit. You can reduce frost build up by ensuring adequate airflow around stored items and ventilation. Hope this helps!

Check the floor underneath the freezer sturdy and level. If the freezer is touching the wall. Re-level the fridge and check correct clearances in the instruction manual. Hope this helps
