LOUD Fridge!If you would like to like to hear a rave party at night then this is the Fridge for you! I have only had this fridge for three weeks and I severely regret purchasing it. From the day of delivery, the fridge motor keeps running and noise is not quiet, all trouble shooting completed and still doesn't shut up - particularly at night where we have had to resort to shutting room doors to not hear the fridge. Out of an hour, the motor runs approximately 45 mins! It is really really disappointing as the design is great and the freezer a great size! You shouldn't have to have a service call on a three week old fridge.

The fresher, lower energy and easy access fridgeI have had the fisher paykel 519l active smart french door fridge for about a week returned the vegetable and other items were still as fresh as when I left them. I particularly bought this refrigerator due to the low energy usage. Excellent for a large size. Easy access and the ability to fit all things and see all things at a glance. The side storage is excellent for the asian sauces I like to keep fresh. Excellent refrigerator for a growing family.

Not a great qualityI bought mine 3 years ago and just like one of the other customers who I read the review below, the left door's flapper spring just jumped out one day without any reason and now every time we want to close that door we have to slide the flapper by hand and close the left door so we can then close the right one! it's super annoying to have to do this on daily basis.
To make matters worst, now the right door is starting to make noises every time we open it. I wonder if the other spring will jump in my face anytime soon as well.

Worst 'fridge/freezer we have ever ownedWe have had this 'fridge for almost 3 years so we are in a position to provide USER feedback rather than new buyer feedback. We have replaced the flapper spring on the left had door which had to be sourced from F&P somewhere in the World (I bought and extra one just in case); a plastic clip on the right had door broke within the first couple of months - only positive about that is the door is easier to open and close - don't know why it was there in the first place (neither of these covered by warrantee). The crisper slide jams from time to time and won't open fully. This 'fridge is noisy. Not just its motor hum but it vibrates and makes all sorts of queer noises enough to hear in the bedroom which is far away. We have other F&P appliances and can't fault them so our advice is to keep away from their refrigerator/freezers.

Great fridge but SO NOISYI purchased this fridge a week ago. It is lovely looking fridge and the french doors make it so easy to find things. It's spacious and easy to find things. The freezer is also more than adequate for what I need.
However, I have 2 issues. The freezer door doesn't open smoothly and you definitely have to give it a bit of a tug to open -- its almost like it isn't running smoothly across the tracks.
But my biggest gripe is the noise this fridge makes. It is incredibly noisy - to the point I can still hear the fridge 2 rooms away. I had come across other online reviews saying it wasn't a quiet fridge - I wish I had listened and bought a different product. There is a constant hum and whirring noise coming from the unit - when its not making those sounds its making loud clicking sounds.
The manual says there are some noises to be expected and I certainly didn't expect it to be whisper quiet all the time, but the current constant noise level is ridiculous - extremely loud and irritating. My 17 year old fridge worked perfectly and didn't make any noise at all. I really wish I hadn't purchased this unit.

Great fridgeFirst time with a french door fridge and the configuration is very nice with the freezer at the bottom whilst everything else is at eye level. That alone is a huge plus. Doors work well, lighting is very nice and it's pretty quiet. Very good fridge.

Time for a change !!!This is our 2nd Fischer& Pakyl fridge but our 1st French door fridge. Our original fridge lasted over 20 yrs. Love the french doors!! You just have to organise the items in the fridge & on the doors as to which door you open. The stainless steel is great & doesn't mark like I expected it too. It operates exactly like our previous one. I do miss the separate draws in the freezer though but this is not a major issue along with no egg trays. If you are used to putting items on the top of the fridge it is not flat across. It is sunken down a bit if this makes sense. Can only hope that we get 20 yrs out of this one too.

Loving my new fridgeI love my new frencg door fridge. We were limited by size in this small kitchen. The double doors allow for less space opening into the kitchen and I can so easily see what I am looking for. I miss he egg container and am still working out what to replace with. The two freezer drawers are great but I still struggle with the large chest drawer at the bottom because it is hard to find things. I have purchased some containers so I can stack my bulk frozen items. It woul be great if something was supplied or available to purchase that actually fit in the freezer. Other than that I love it and would not change it.
