Great for 23 months.
The product was great, but just shy of two years completely packed up. Spent ages trying to find a way to fix the battery that had died but Phillips had done such an amazing job of making the product unrepairable. To change the battery requires literal circuit board soldering - it’s 2022, a battery has been replaceable since the 1980s but they worked it out; make it impossible, warranty is just out - buy a new one!! Keep those shareholders happy and the public will keep buying new ones because battery’s! Well done Phillips on keeping your shareholders happy! The only kudos I can give.

Philips skincare electric toothbrush
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only ever used a manual toothbrush, but I must saying after trying this I will never go back. Easy to use, it's not heavy. I noticed a difference straight away.
It does a nice gentle clean but cleans very well.
It seems it cleans where a manual toothbrush couldn't.
Easy on the gums and teeth.
Very surprised.
Will definitely recommend.
Easy to charge and doesn't take long also the charge lasts.
I like the 3 brushing modes and the pressure sensor.
Love it comes with a case.

Amazing clean and great for sensitive gums
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since giving up smoking I developed very sensitive gums. My usual tooth brush resulted in blood in my mouth. It was simply to harsh for my mouth. With the sonicare I don't have any issues. My teeth feel amazingly clean. The 30second marker is subtle but noticeable.
The carry case is perfect for storage and travelling.
My only complaint is the vibrations are very very strong. The first few times I couldn't finish the 2 min cycle because the vibrations almost were triggering my had reflex. But my teeth still were lovely afterwards.

Fantastic cleaning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was happy with my electric toothbrush, or so I thought until I used this one. I am thrilled with the Sonicare 5100. I love that you can switch between the modes, clean, white and gumcare. The quadpacer beeps at 30 second intervals which is really useful. The pressure sensor lets you know when you are pressong too hard. The easy start means that for the first few uses the vibrations are slower to give the user time to get used to the experience. It has a charge light to tell you when it needs recharging, a feature that I feel all electric brushes should have. A few days in it removed a large build up of plaque from behind my bottom front teeth that I didn't even know I had. My teeth feel considerably cleaner and it's a pleasure to use this toothbrush. I can highly recommend it.

Fantastic cleaning, totally different to other toothbrushes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Sonicare toothbrush now for around 4 weeks. The first time I used it was a little unusual and can take a little time to get used too, but when you do the results are excellent. The feeling was totally different to other electric toothbrushes. The 3 settings are great, and my teeth felt the cleanest they have felt in quite some time. I also mentioned to my dentist what I was using and she actually said that they are the best on the market. I checked my teeth on a whitening scale and they are already 2 shades whiter after only a month.
I would highly recommend the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100 Sonic electric toothbrush.

Having used it more regular now I have gotten used to it and am very happy with how much of a difference it has made. My teeth feel so much more cleaner and my mouth feels a lot fresher.
I love the style of the product and the fact that it has a handy case to pack it away after use.
The feature it has for brushing too hard is also very good.

I am on my third toothbrush.
This toothbrush does clean your teeth well but it's life span is unacceptably short. I am now on my third brush as they have all lost power- the first just died and wouldn't even switch on and the second one lost its power. These are not cheap brushes and therefore I do not recommend them at all. I thought Philips was a good reliable brand but not in this case.
